Class Outlines
Intro and survey results
James Robinson
In October 2018, the Navigate by Faith team sent out a survey to all the California Christadelphian young people asking them about what they wanted for the next Youth Summit. This class will briefly go over the results of the survey and explain how they directly led to this follow-up summit on Depression, Anxiety, and Addiction.
Testimonials
Various brothers and sisters
Before each class, there will be a testimony given by a brother or sister who has personally faced the issue being discussed. Each testimony will explain what it was like, how things changed for the better, and what they are like now.
Depression
Erik Sternad
This class will cover what depression is, how it’s normal, and how to get help if you or someone you know is battling it.
Anxiety
Erik Sternad
This class will cover what anxiety is, how it’s not a sin, but an overreaction by your body, and how to get help if you or someone you know is having issues with it.
Addiction
Ben Gallagher
This class will explain what addiction is and how it affects us, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It will introduce the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) test, address marijuana specifically, and suggest coping skills and strategies for those battling addiction.
